Questions people ask
How much does Eilik cost?
About $139.99 for a single unit from Energize Lab or Amazon (MSRP $149.99); a two-pack is $269.98. The optional AI Station that adds a camera and AI chat is another $99.
Is Eilik worth it?
For the price it is the cheapest mainstream companion robot and works fully offline, but it is a scripted toy, not an AI. If you want conversation or learning, look at pricier bots or add the AI Station.
What age is Eilik for?
Energize Lab markets it for kids and adults; most listings and reviews say 8+, and one manual says 13+. It has small magnetic accessories and moving parts, so supervise younger children.
Does Eilik need Wi-Fi or an app?
No. It works out of the box with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or app. Firmware updates are done over USB-C from a computer. Only the optional AI Station uses the app and Wi-Fi.
Is there a subscription?
No subscription for Eilik. No recurring fee is advertised for the AI Station either.
Is Eilik safe for children?
It has no camera or microphone in the base model, collects no data and runs offline. The main risks are the small magnetic accessories and dropping it, since the servos and OLED face are fragile.
Is Eilik noisy?
Moderately. Its sound effects and servos are audible and several reviewers found it louder than expected in quiet rooms; you can lower volume or let it sleep.
Will my child lose interest?
Possibly. Reviewers consistently note the animations and games are preset and repeat; interest tends to fade after a few weeks unless you pair it with a second Eilik or the AI Station.
Where can I buy Eilik?
Energize Lab's official store (ships internationally from a global warehouse, duties may apply), Amazon US and Amazon UK/EU (sold by Energize Lab), Walmart, RobotShop, and regional resellers such as Microless in the UAE.
